Close to the campsite, the Près-Salés d’Arès Lège site is a must for nature lovers. This 500-hectare nature reserve, located between Arès and Lège-Cap-Ferret, is home to almost 150 species of birds and one of the richest flora in the region. It’s a veritable paradise for birdwatchers and nature photographers, offering magnificent views over the salt marshes. Discovering the Arcachon basin through this reserve will enable you to appreciate the diversity of the local flora and fauna, while taking advantage of marked trails for total immersion. The Dune du Pilat, the highest dune in Europe, is one of the most emblematic natural wonders of the Arcachon basin.
